Use of the website

This website is owned and operated by WG White a trading name of Ritter Courivaud Limited ("W.G. White" "we," "us" or "our"). 

By accessing this website and/or placing an order or requesting a delivery you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions set out below. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions you may not use or access this website.

Use of the website
Any orders placed by using this website, along with access to the website, are granted strictly in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully and print and keep a copy of them for your reference.

We may change our Terms and Conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply to future orders. We reserve the right to: -

  • Modify or withdraw, temporarily or permanently, this website (or any part thereof) without any liability to you or any third party.

  • Amend the Terms and Conditions from time to time, and your continued use of the website (or any part thereof) following such change shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change. Please review the Terms and Conditions before each order to check for any amendments.

We have taken every effort to ensure this website if free from error. However, to the extent permitted by applicable law, W.G. White does not warrant the accuracy or reliability of any of the information contained on this website.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws, WG White hereby excludes liability for any claims, losses, demands, or damages of any kind whatsoever resulting from the use of this website including, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or damages, (including loss of profits). The foregoing will apply whether such claims, loss or damages arise in tort, contract, negligence, under statute or otherwise. However, your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

The content of this website is owned or licensed by W.G. White. This material includes, but is not limited to, photos, images, layout, graphics, look and appearance. The content of the site is protected by copyright, trademarks, database and other intellectual property rights and any such rights will remain vested in W.G. White or our licensors.

 

You can use this site only for your own personal, non commercial use, in order to place orders through the website. You may not reproduce, copy, duplicate, transmit, publish, display, distribute or sell any material from the W.G. White website. You may not use this website or its content for any commercial purpose; including the collection and use of any listings, descriptions, prices, make any derivative or commercially exploitative use of this website or its content, download or copy account information, use any data mining, robots or similar data gathering and extraction tool without the explicit written consent of W.G. White. Any unauthorised use terminates any permission’s granted.

Terms of Purchase
Please note that we are only able to accept orders from in the UK Mainland and Northern Ireland.

The contract of sale will be established as follows: You place the order for your products on this website by pressing checkout & pay button at the end of the checkout process. We will send to you an order acknowledgement email detailing the products you have ordered. Payment will be taken from you via Sage. Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the despatch to you of the Products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it in accordance with the instructions below.

If you choose to open an account on our website, at the time of your registration you will receive a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account and any activities that occur under your account. W.G. White shall not be liable to you for any loss or damage which may arise as a result of any failure by you to protect your password or account details.

Delivery
We offer free delivery on orders over £100, for orders below £100 there will be a delivery charge of £8.50. Orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday will be despatched that day (excluding public or bank holidays). Your goods will be sent using Royal Mail Special Delivery and must be signed for at the delivery address by you, or by your nominated representative who must be aged 18 or above. Under no circumstances will goods be left unattended, for example in a garage, or with anybody below the age of 18. We accept no liability for the loss of any goods which Royal Mail can evidence delivery or signature.

We are unable to guarantee next day delivery and as such accept no liability for late or non delivery and you will be subject Royal Mail’s procedures regarding failed deliveries and collection.

Payment
Any of the following cards may be used to pay for your shopping: Visa Debit (Delta), Maestro UK, MasterCard, Visa Electron, Visa Credit, American Express.

We will require your payment details when placing the order. Payment will be taken when you confirm your order and submit your payment details.

We use Sage online payment service which is a highly secure online payment facility. It is Sage’s utmost priority to ensure that transaction data is handled in a safe and secure way. Sage pay uses a range of secure methods such as fraud screening, I.P address blocking and 3D secure. Once on the Sage Pay systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards. Sage Pay is PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant to the highest level and maintains regular security audits. They are also regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure that their systems are impenetrable.

Sage Pay is an active member of the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) that defines card industry global regulation.

In addition, you know that your session is in a secure encrypted environment when you see https:// in the web address, and/or when you see the locked padlock symbol alongside the URL.

Verified by Visa and MasterCard® SecureCode™
To give you even more confidence in shopping online with W.G. White we have introduced 3-D Secure to enable Verified by Visa and Mastercard® SecureCode™. These services enhance your existing card account security against unauthorised use when you shop with us.

Returns and Shortages
We reserve the right to limit the number of units of products per customer order and all orders are subject to availability.

In the event of there being errors or shortages in your order, these should be brought to the attention of Customer Service (contact details above) no later than seven days after the delivery. Should the product be unsatisfactory in any way please contact Customer Service. If the product is faulty it can be returned to W.G. White with all origainal packaging and a replacement will be sent or a refund.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions will reduce your statutory rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods. For further information about your statutory rights contact your local authority, Trading Standards Department or Citizens Advice Bureau.

General Pricing Policy
The price charged to you will be the price stated when placing your order..

You have the right to return any product which is not of satisfactory quality and we will refund the amount that you have been charged for that product.

The prices stated on the site are inclusive of any VAT payable.

Cancellation rights
If you are buying these goods as a consumer you are entitled to cancel this contract if you so wish, provided that you exercise your right no longer than 14 days after the day on which you receive the goods or services.

Please note that your right to cancel and return products does not apply to goods made to your specification, that have been personalised or which by reason of their nature cannot be returned or are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly (including temperature controlled goods such as caviar).

All goods returned as not required muct be unopened and in their original packaging. If the goods have been damaged by your handling or whilst in your possession we reserve the right to deduct an amount which reflects the reduction in value of the item damaged.

If you wish to exercise your right of cancellation, you are obliged to retain possession of the goods and take reasonable care of them before returning them to us. We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.  

Notice of such cancellation must be given in writing to Customer Service, details as provided below.

If you decide to cancel, we will reimburse to you (by the method used to pay for the original transaction) the amount in relation to goods to which cancellation rights apply. We will make the reimbursement no later than 14 days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied. Any refunds for unwanted returned items will be made within 14 days of the goods being returned to us. You will need to pay the postage or return delivery charges.

The cancellation rights apply only to consumers. Anyone using this site to purchase goods for their business or trade will not have the right to cancel.

General
If any of these Terms and Conditions is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Terms and Conditions which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

These Terms and Conditions will be governed by English law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in relation to any dispute which may arise between them.
